Good news, federal tax day has been extended to May 17th, meaning we can pause and more fully embrace April as Stress Awareness Month! With the gift of extra time, we can focus on managing our stress, creating or maintaining healthy habits and reinvigorate our ‘routines’. This year has spurred legions of stress. So much so that even the fed is acknowledging that our stress load is over acceptable limits. This extension gives us all a little time to breathe, lighten our load, and pause long enough to soldier on more gently.

We are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel (solstice pun intended).  After a year of functioning in survival mode, we could all use help in honing our self-care skills. At Balance, we are focused on making safe opportunities for our community to de-stress. Luckily, our excellent teachers have created workshops and series this month to shift our sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems and bring peace. Here are a few offerings to keep you and your family stress free! Arm Balance & Inversions with Katelyn Ryan and Rachel Brodeur every Tuesday night in April. Return to Joy with Trish Hart and Carolyn Moody:Yin, Acupuncture, Sound Healing and Meditation on 4/25. Let go and de-stress with A Full Moon Ceremony with Katelyn Ryan and Allyson Paul on 4/26. Keep your kids happy, healthy and stress free with our 5 Week Teen and Young Yogi Series.And NOW is the time to start a meditation practice – Trish Hart’s 3 Day Foundations Series is back *virtually* 4/27-4/29.

We feel responsible and blessed to be a space of healing for our community. Responsible because we studied and chose this exact role when we opted into these professions as teachers of yoga, pilates, and fitness. Lucky, because the healing and strengthening we can achieve as a community are profound. We cannot wait to de-stress with you all
