Balance Studio offers a variety of yoga classes to accommodate every yogi’s skill level and style. Our yoga classes are designed to optimize the benefits of your practice by improving flexibility, strength, and power while also focusing on creating inner balance and serenity. We feature hot, warm and unheated yoga classes.

Class Levels

Vinyasa FLOW I-II

Vinyasa Flow Yoga for the newer or seasoned yogi or yogini who prefers a milder temperature and mindful flow. Instruction will include clear alignment cues and modifications. Focusing on the mind body connection, this class will  increase strength and flexibility. 80-90 degrees. Some experience recommended.


An intense Vinyasa Flow class. Challenging strength, flexibility, balance and mind-body connection. Instructors vary postures in an open flow format. Intense heat and humidity with temperatures reaching close to 100 degrees. Prior yoga experience is highly recommended.

Unheated Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa Flow Yoga for the seasoned yogi or yogini who enjoys a mindful flow but not the heat.  Focusing on breath and the mind body connection this class is great for increasing strength and flexibility. Room temperature. Some experience recommended.

Cardio Fusion

Get your cardio fix! Cardio Fusion is the ultimate xBody workout. One hour of music-driven, fast-paced movement and interval exercises. A short yoga warm up prepares you for heart pumping cardio bursts that will make you sweat. Plyometric exercises will define your muscles, intense core work will chisel your abs and demanding strength sequences will challenge your stamina and balance. A calming, cool finish will leave you exhilarated and prepared to attack your day!

Foundational Flow

This class is for  the newer or seasoned yogi or yogini who prefers a mid-level temperature and a more mindful pace. Focusing on the mind body connection with strong alignment cues, modifications and props this class will increase strength, flexibility and deepen your practice.  75-80 degree heat and light humidity. Some prior experience suggested, but not necessary.

Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini Yoga (as taught by Yogi Bhajan), is a modern system of yoga rooted in ancient, traditional practices. It works to strengthen and balance all the systems of the physical body, providing a range of benefits; including increased flexibility, expanded lung capacity, a strong core, and the alleviation of stress and anxiety. Kundalini Yoga involves the practice of a kriya — a series of postures, dynamic movement, breath, and sound that work toward a specific outcome. Practicing a kriya initiates a sequence of physical and mental changes that affect the body, mind, and spirit simultaneously. There are kriyas that support the liver, balance the glandular system, make you radiant, improve digestion, boost immune function, open the heart center, and many more. Each kriya has a different effect, but all work on all levels of your being.

Spa Yoga

Spa yoga is a 75 min slow-flow, floor-based, whole-body sensory experience based on Fluid Yoga sequencing. By engaging all five of the senses with soft candlelight, soothing music, aromatherapy, lots of hands-on assists and a renewed awareness of taste (and sometimes chocolate!), Spa aligns practitioners with the inner wisdom to find deep relaxation. The physical practice takes time to open the body’s subtle energy and prepares students to experience new depths of awareness in an extended, guided shavasana or Yoga Nidra.
During SPA, you may discover extra hands on assists and massages, a calming candlelit room atmosphere, delightful scents and beautiful music in the background.
Be prepared to feel like you just walked out of a SPA!

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a complementary yoga practice to the more yang experiences such as power and vinyasa flow yoga, pilates, barre and other more aerobic activities. It is the approach in yin yoga that is different – poses are largely the same, but poses are held for longer periods, in relative stillness, at a point between edge and ease – with the ultimate goal of reaching deep connective tissues and ligaments of the body. Energy (chi) is also released and circulated throughout the body through this practice and a more inward looking approach is taken – ultimately preparing the mind and body for meditation.

Yoga Tune Up®

Yoga Tune Up is a head-to-toe practice that combines static and dynamic stretches, corrective exercises, yoga and body therapy in a way that targets individualized trigger points and neglected muscles and tissues. It enables students to increase overall strength, create balance and flexibility, improve coordination and reduce stress through unique, fun and sensation-based actions, exercise and anatomical understanding. Above all, it allows students to customize their practice to their own internal architecture for smooth, efficient action in all arenas of movement.

Stretch & Serenity

A gentle on the mat Yoga class that focuses on creating mobility in the spine, pelvis and joints while limbering the muscles and connective tissue. This class uses  fluidity, temperature and sequence to find depth while stretching. It is appropriate for all levels, effective for supporting injury recovery and has shown to dramatically increase flexibility without creating discomfort. It is an excellent compliment to Barre, Pilates and a regular Yoga practice.

Restorative Yoga & Yoga Nidra

Restorative is a profoundly healing form of yoga using props to support the body. Restorative postures allow the body to rest, restore and encourage innate healing. Class will end with Yoga Nidra, a guided meditation that induces deep relaxation and renewal. Essential oils will be offered to enhance the healing experience.

Hatha I Yoga

This class promotes a mat based, gentle yoga practice. Emphasis will be on breath, posture and a focus on balance to aid in stress reduction. A Hatha practice encourages flexibility, relaxation and a mind body connection. No experience necessary. Studio will be at room temperature. Bolsters, block, blankets and additional props will be provided.


Hatha II Yoga

This class is adaptable to the individual regardless of level. Movement is guided by breath using purposeful movement to progress in and out of poses. Emphasis on reducing physical and mental stress in the body while building strength and confidence with ease. Suitable for all levels. Studio will be at room temperature. Bolsters, block, blankets and additional props will be provided.

 Introduction to Meditation

Learn how to comfortably spend time concentrating through various guided techniques such as pranayama, body scans and mantras. Release stress and control and learn to relax into a space of unconditional acceptance and awareness. Leave feeling more connected, peaceful and willing to book with what is, while remaining fully present.

Yin & Meditation

Discover the perfect combinations of Yin yoga and meditation. This class begins with a 40 minute yoga practice designed to open up the body and waken the mind. Breath work to unite mind and body follows, and leads to guided meditation. No meditation experience is necessary.

Soulful Sunday

A comprehensive and fun yoga class combining pranayama (yogic breath), yin yoga, hatha postures, Surya Namaskar (sun salutations) and mantras (the yoga of sound). This class is  unheated class and appropriate for students of all levels.

Community Class

Come meet some of our newest Yoga teachers !  This class is taught by our Yoga Teacher Training Students and is offered on a donation basis.  Their dedication to their teaching skills is your opportunity to take a well sequenced and challenging vinyasa flow class for a fraction of our regular classes. Class is open to all levels but some yoga experience suggested. $10 donation.  A portion of all proceeds will be donated to charity. Cash, check or CC or 10 pass accepted for this class.  No auto-monthly passes please. ~ Community classes can be found on the schedule when Yoga Teacher Training is in session.
