Our program, led by seasoned 500 hour trained instructors with diverse backgrounds, provides students with a solid and innovative foundation from which to explore their personal yoga journey both on and off the mat.

An in depth study of the asanas, anatomy, philosophy, the sutras, one’s inner self and the skills to form a career in yoga.
This Intensive is designed for those looking for an in depth study of the practice and philosophy of Yoga and will envelope all aspects of teaching methods. It is not limited only to those seeking a teaching career but will provide the best training available on the South Shore for a 200 hr certification.

Dates:  Commencing October 2017 – May 2018

Thursdays 6-9:30 pm (except school vacation weeks)

One weekend a month : Fridays 6-9 pm / Saturdays & Sundays 9am -4 pm


Registration & $500 Deposit Required to reserve your spot

Full Tuition: $2875

  • Payment plans available; $500 deposit plus 7 payments 0f $365 October- April


  • Pay in Full by 8/1/2017 and receive Free Unlimited Classes August & September 2017


  • All Participants in YIT receive FREE Unlimited yoga throughout training period

Areas of Study will include, but not be limited to:

• Asanas: break down of postures, emphasis on alignment, contraindications & safe teaching methods

• Yoga Philosophy: history of yoga, yoga sutra immersion, ethics and the business of yoga

 • Anatomy: method specific anatomy & alignment for a safe yoga practice

• Pranyama: including chanting, meditation and mantras

• Ayurveda: science as it integrates with the practice of yoga

• Yoga Styles: Vinyasa, Kundalini, Ashtanga, Hatha, Yin, Restorative, Beginner, Chair and Partner Yoga

Methodology: adjustments, use of props, understanding safe and creative sequencing

Admission Requirements: Applicants should be 18 years of age. All applicants should submit a completed application and picture with a non-refundable fee. All applicants will require an admissions interview. All applicants should have a regular yoga practice and be physically fit so they are able to perform all techniques and trainings.

Graduation Requirements: 200 Hour Certification requires completion of all schedule sessions. Trainees must assist and teach 10 classes in or outside of Balance Studio Trainees must attend at least 3 yoga classes a week in or outside Balance Studio Comprehensive written test 75 minute practical Self Study Sacred Reading Projects
